Pretty interesting; the VMC plan includes a NYC-esque central park surrounded by high rises. Honestly the park itself looks pretty nice even thought the rest of the plan is a little soulless.

This looks like it will be gorgeous if completed as planned. This could be a nice area to live. (Not that I'm trying to offend anyone who lives here now, I'm just unfamiliar with the area)

It's a really ambitious plan in general. I wish some of layouts were more 'human-scale' though, seems to be dominated by giant condos still.

Maybe it's all relative. Imagine the perspective of people living in suburban areas. Their idea of having an amenity or business nearby is living next to a mall or a big box store with a ton of space wasted by a parking lot. Then they go from that to this, where they've got green space and some mid rise, many businesses nearby. I think they'd love it, even if the primary housing type is large tall condo buildings.
